Why do you need FFC?

An investor, lender, government agency, distributor or broadcaster is willing to put money into a film on the understanding that the project will be completed and delivered to the distributor on time and on budget. The Guarantor ensures that this occurs.

We are experienced in all areas of the film and television industry and act as facilitators and advisors in the completion of projects. Should there be a problem or delay, Film Finances Canada has an obligation to make sure it is solved.

What we can offer?

Film Finances Canada is an independent third party whose only interest is to see the project completed as scheduled. We deal with producers, lenders, investors, and distributors on equal levels and consider ourselves in partnership with each group in the best interest of the project.

At Film Finances Canada we pride ourselves on being prepared to close the financing and our guarantee when you are, in order that the production may proceed smoothly. We know how stressful mounting an independent production is, and we feel it is our responsibility to be a part of the solution not a contributor to the problems.

Our monitoring style in non-invasive but we are available for advice at all times. Ensuring a smooth and problem free delivery is our main objective and we have the experience to assist all parties to a satisfactory conclusion.
